FAQs

Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions by clients.

Q “How long does a process serve usually take?”

R “The average straight-forward process serve takes between 2 ½ to 3 hours, this includes travel to and from the location of the serve as well as preparation and swearing of an affidavit, however, it could take considerably longer if the person to be served is very evasive”

Q “How are your fees structured?”

R “We operate a fixed fee service (includes mileage) and also a bespoke hourly rate service (plus mileage) for the more difficult serves”.

Q “What is the service level for a fixed fee process serve?”

R “With fixed-fee process serving we will make three visits to the defendant/respondent at creatively timed intervals in order to maximise the chance of a successful serve”

Q “What happens if after 3 visits you still have not been able to serve?”

R “Experience tells us that the vast majority of process is served within 3 visits, however, in the event of us not being able to serve within 3 visits we will always contact you to update you and to discuss further instructions before incurring any further costs, with some types of process it is clear from the outset that more than 3 visits may be needed (i.e. family court process, or if the defendant/respondent has proved evasive in the past) therefore on those occasions we will immediately suggest an hourly rate”
